INDIGO VILLAGE

Run by the irrepressible Susie Walton, Indigo Village is a haven in North County San Diego for a variety of parenting and emotional wellness classes. Our family has attended several workshops here and we have always enjoyed them.

NEW WORLD LEADERSHIP CHILDREN’S ACADEMY

This is the only ‘green’ pre-school I know of in San Diego.  They operate the school on a green property and incorporate sustainability into their teaching methods. The staff are dedicated to teaching children about eco-friendly living and conservationism.

STALWART COMMUNICATIONS

I have worked with David Oates of Stalwart Communications and found him to be a master of PR.  He has a unique take on pay-for-performance PR and has always over-delivered with whatever I’ve needed from him.  A true pleasure to work with.

PLAYBACK CLOTHING

They make clothing out of fabric scraps and plastic bottles.  They were kind enough to send me a few samples and the clothes are really comfortable and soft.  Wore their sweatshirt at a 40 degree campfire this weekend and was pretty warm. Click here for their site

THERMAL BUILDING INSPECTIONS

To conduct an energy audit many different areas of the structure and its contents have to be analyzed. A thermal imagery audit is used to measure the air-tightness of buildings and to help locate air leakage sites.  The air-tightness of a building is useful knowledge when trying to increase energy conservation or decrease indoor air pollution, or control building pressures.
